Fiji
We have been working with our sister NGO the Pacific Centre for Peace Building with communities on Vanua Levu including Vunicuicui, and Kothari that have been hardhit by a flash flood. Landslides have impacted livelihoods and damaged houses, water supplies and emerging from this …we are supporting a local initiative to form a womens co-op social enterprise around a cheaper local community store, ICT learning centre and seedling bank. Four digital community stories are in production.
We are currently hampered by a lack of funds to finish production on the first of a series of Fijian digital community stories about the Wainunu communities and their local initiatives and enterprises to build a sustainable future and to strengthen their rich cultural stories and identities. We are working together to build their solar powered community learning centre.

The second stage involves partnering professional development for community leaders for sustainable transitions with Wollumbin Institute and other regional stakeholders.
